With the highest ski resort in Europe – Val Thorens – already in full swing having opened early, we just can’t wait to get our new Ski Talini team on the slopes and skiing! Check out our January Ski Offers below.

Conditions up in Val Thorens are already good, with the recent heavy snowfall making a good solid base, and artificial snow topping it up regularly. St Martin de Belleville will open on Saturday 10th December, and our first catered chalet guests arrive on Sunday 11th ready for some exercise before their Christmas holidays.

– Why ski in January? Discover the reason all the locals are on the slopes in January:

The 3 Big Secrets of January Skiingshutterstock_120844297

1) It’s oh so quiet….
With the excitement of the holiday season over, January skiers have the slopes to themselves.
Carve huge, sweeping turns on Jerusalem piste without another skier in sight: pure heaven.

You’ll also get the best seats in the mountain restaurants and service is relaxed and less   rushed.

2) No lift queues
You’ll spend more time skiing and less time queueing when you choose to ski in January. Skiing in St MartinWhilst you might find a couple of neighbours on the busiest gondolas, you’ll find that on the majority of the lifts in Val Thorens, Meribel and Courchevel, there will just be a handful of skiers in front of you.

Despite being one of the most famous ski resorts in the world, the super-efficient lift system in the Three Valleys means that you get excellent value from your ski pass.

3) Reliable Three Valleys snowSolo skier
The cold mid-winter temperatures mean that the snow which has already fallen remains firmly attached to the mountain, and the incredible modern snow-making facilities in the Three Valleys top up whatever has fallen naturally.

Regular snowfall in January means that you can expect excellent conditions when you opt for a post-New Year Ski.

Bonus 4th reason! What better way to revitalise yourself after over-indulging in the Christmas choccies than to blow away your cobwebs in the mountains?

Your chalet chef can hold off on the creamy sauces and chocolate cake. (If you REALLY want them to…)
