Family Ski Holidays
A ski holiday with your children should be just that – a holiday! We appreciate that travelling with young ones can be stressful so we are on hand from your first contact with us to ensure that everything is arranged in advance, giving you peace of mind and time to enjoy your holiday too.
St Martin: a friendly village resort for families
St. Martin is a lovely place to introduce family and beginners to the joys of skiing. The Three Valleys is renowned for snow-sure conditions because of the high altitude as well as taking really good care of the pistes, meaning that little skiers are well looked after. Of course there are innumerable opportunities for tobogganing, snowy (and easy) walks to go on as well as huskie sledge-rides, not to mention snowman building! It truly is a winter wonderland and we will do our best to help make the logistics of your holiday as easy as possible.
Childcare in St Martin de Belleville
For those too little or less inclined to ski, there is a kindergarden available (from 18months old) which offers up to full-time childcare, and some playtime in the snow where appropriate. For slightly bigger guests wanting to slide on skis for the first time, the Piou Piou club ensures they have a great time as they start out on their skis. Of course we can also arrange for private tuition if you feel your child would benefit more from one on one attention, or a small group.
We can help arrange private nannies for babies, or the whole of your brood depending on your preferences – do let us know as soon as possible if you would like to book a nanny as they get booked up quickly!
Skiing with children
With easy access to the lifts in our shuttle Land Rovers, getting to and from the slopes with children’s skis and poles is a doddle. You won’t need to lug all the equipment through the village.
With good lessons from one of our recommended Ski schools in St Martin , beginners quickly progress from the nursery slopes to the blue Bioley, which has stunning views down the whole Belleville towards the Vallée des Encombres.
In advance of your arrival we’ll find out what your lift pass requirements are and can have them ready and waiting in the chalet. We’ll also ask about your skiing experience and vital statistics so that any hire equipment can be reserved and awaiting.
Food for Your Children
Our chefs are more than happy to cater for our youngest guests. We can purée for babies or create simple but nutritious meals for younger children. We serve tea at 6pm for children and we will always try and provide nutritious and appetising meals for your little ones.
We’ll ring you for a chat about your foodie requirements before you travel, so you can let us know any preferences for eating arrangements then.
Read more about our menus here.
Discounts are available for children staying in our chalets. Children aged between 2-12 at the time of the holiday are entitled to a 10% reduction.
For babies under 2, we have a set charge of £100 which includes the use of a cot and a highchair.
Sleeping Arrangements in the Chalets
We’re able to put extra beds or cots into some of the chalet bedrooms, but not all, so it’s best to get in touch with us to discuss your needs. We are very happy to accommodate children in our chalets and have games and films available for entertainment!
Many of the en-suites have baths and we have 100% natural bathroom products from Cowshed as well as nice fluffy towels and hairdryers.
We also recommend the services of Holiday Baby Hire and can arrange to receive a collection if there’s anything on their website that you feel would help your holiday to run more smoothly, for instance a backpack carrier/off road buggy.
Getting to St Martin de Belleville
The shortest airport transfer times are from Lyon, Geneva or Chambery. We can help you to arrange a transfer and request appropriate car seats for your children.
